Radish (Raphanus sativus) is a plant family Brassicaceae that is grown for its edible roots. Each of its subspecies receive different common names, for example, R. sativus var. sativus is called radish radish and R. sativus var. longipinnatus known among other names, such as horseradish, Japanese radish or daikon.
